One of Parker's Own Gets Published!

L Lauren Matthews, a seventh grader here at Parker and a member of the The Parker Press staff, recently had an article published in the Homewood-Flossmoor Chronicle, a local print and online newspaper.  The article is titled, "Parker Junior High 'Tech Ninjas' take robot to competition." Lauren is very proud of this accomplishment, and we here at Parker believe it is only the beginning of what will be a great writing career for Lauren.  Patty Houlihan, one of the editors/writer for the H-F Chronicle, helped Lauren to get her article published and also came to speak to the staff of The Parker Press about journalism.
