Some of Parker's students recently performed at the SSJHA 2017 Fine Arts Speech Festival at Colin Powell Middle School.  The whole team of students performed during Round I by reciting poetry.

Two of the poems performed included "The Monster That Lives in My Room" by sixth grader Edward Szczender and "The Stress In My Soul" and "Bullets Wasted- Lives Taken" by Kiyah E. Roberts. All three poems can be found by clicking on the Creative Writing tab.

In Round II Avery Calhoon participated in Oral Interpretation by performing a selection from "Green Gables." Congratulations to all the members of Parker's Speech Team for all of their hard work and for representing our school at the Speech Festival!
